Windows 10: Second monitor not detected after Windows 10 update - ongoing issue.

Lenovo V130-15IKB Type 81HN: Second monitor not detected after Windows 10 pro update - ongoing issue.

'Nearly' every time after a Windows 10 pro update, there is an issue with the second monitor not being detected. I either have to roll back or reload the OEM driver from Lenovo's support website to fix the problem. However, after a recent Window update, this fix no longer works. I have the correct OEM driver installed, have updated the BIOS and chipset drivers, all to no avail.

Calling upon the collective knowledge of all you members, can you help?

Windows 10: Issues with detecting and adding second monitor.

This issue might occur if second monitor is not added properly.



I suggest you to follow the steps below to add the second monitor in the display and check if it helps.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Then type "Settings" without the quotes in the search bar and click on
System.

3. Click on Display.

4. Click on Detect button and try to add the display.

If Windows can't detect your second monitor, it's usually a driver problem. It could be due to your video driver being outdated, incorrect or faulty. It's also possible that your monitor driver is causing the problem.

Since the issue occurred after the latest update, it's possible that the video or monitor drivers require an update. Try looking for the updated version of the drivers on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If the issue persists, try to roll back the drivers to the last good configuration. To do that, you may follow these steps:

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
• Right-click your device driver, select Properties, and browse to the
  Driver tab.
• Press the Roll Back Driver option if available, and Windows 10 will begin the process.
