  1. DontRefresh not found: Problem with naming convention while downloading

    Hi,

I am having issue in change in naming convention of zip file, which is changing to lower case while downloading from Microsoft Explorer.

I am referring to some post earlier raised for similar problem Please refer below Links. My problem is I am finding WOW6432Node in some other location Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node and I am not sure whether it is correct path.

    Links I am referring too:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ot-found/f8ac1e7a-e198-48e8-9dea-0b2fd2a643a1

    https://www.reddit.com/r/techsuppor...ows_refresh_problem_cant_find_dontrefresh_in/

The question is if it is right path do I need to create "DontRefresh" as DWORD and set value to 0 or Shall I create WOW6432Node under HKCR as suggested in one of the post.

For 64-bit Windows, are you searching from the Wow6432Node copy of CLSID HKCR\Wow6432Node\CLSID\...?

If it's not there, just try creating it manually HKCR\[Wow6432Node\]CLSID\{BDEADE7F-C265-11D0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}\Instance, DontRefresh = 0.

    Please suggest.

    :)

  2. dontrefresh not found

Working with Windows 10, file and folder name edits must be manually refreshed in order to show their change. It appears from web searches, the typical solution is to go into the
Registry Editor and find the following:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/dontrefresh

If the value is 1, change it to 0. (first back up your data)

The issue is that dontrefresh doesn't exist or can't be found. That in itself may be the problem - no idea.

Anyone have any clues how to fix this?

    A possible solution:

creating a 'dontrefresh' should be done as a DWORD, not a String.

DontRefresh not found: Problem with naming convention while downloading

Change naming convention for WP pictures and videos?

Is there a way to change the filename convention for new photos and videos?

Here is why I am asking: we have 2 WP phones, and we periodically combine photos from both. Since the phones use the same naming convention, I risk overwriting the files (WP_00001 from one phone with WP_00001 from the other phone).

I have not been able to find any options either on the phone or in Zune to change the naming convention. Is ther a way to do this?

    Thanks
