  1. Not Able to View Email Attachments in Sent Mail Folder - Mail App Microsoft Surface Laptop 3

I recently setup my Gmail account in the Mail App for my Microsoft Surface Laptop 3.

After the setup was complete, and I configured the mail app to sync everything from the Gmail account to the Mail app I checked the box to download full email messages with images, I then hit refresh to make sure everything was sync'd and all emails were in my mail app.

All emails were sync'd successfully, however, when I checked my Sent Mail Folder, I noticed that none of my email attachments were showing. I tried refreshing again, and the folder said it was up to date. I am not able to view the email attachments I sent, in the Sent Mail folder.

This poses a huge issue, as I reference my email attachments in my sent mail folder a lot for personal and business purposes. Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

This is the Mail app that is on the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3. I am in need of immediate assistance, and would appreciate step-by-step instructions on how to fix this issue. Thank you!

    :)

Mail app not displaying sent emails in folder

I've added an IMAP account provided by an institutional server (****@fidas.org). I've checked that sent items are stored correctly when working on Windows Live Mail or from webmail.

This is not the case with the new Windows 10 metro mail app, sent emails don't show in any of the sent folders I've created.

I've been struggling with the issue for quite a long time. My mail provider does not know where the issue might be. I believe it is somehow related to the name the windows mail app gives to the folder for sent items. If I knew the exact name of that folder I could create a folder with that name through the webmail page and finally have all of my devices properly sync.

I've talked to the technical service and they adviced me to switch to another mail provider app. I would prefer not to do that because I like the integration with People and other windows apps.

    Thank you.

W10 mail app - how to show 3 columns (Surface 3)

    Hi,

    I have two tablets:
    Lenovo yoga 700 (11in)
    Surface 3 (10.8in)

Why does my mail app on the surface not show the email preview column, (furthest right). Instead when I select an email it brings it up on full screen.

Both tablets are running the same version , 17.6965.41051.0

My initial thoughts is something to do with scaling on the surface as I believe I have exhausted the inbuilt options on the app. Also because the screen sizes are so similar.

    Any help appreciated.

    See attached screenshots.

Outlook 2016 doesn't show sent mail in sent mail folder

The "Outbox" is only for unsent mail so I guess you don't mean that but rather "Sent Mail"?

Anyway, what is your email account?

My sent mail for gmail (bottom account below) shows not under "Sent Items" but "[Google Mail]\Sent Mail" whereas my outlook.com account (top one below) shows in the root of the IMAP tree.

You can change the root folder path (that is the name of the directory that the "inbox", "sent items" etc directories are stored under on your IMAP server) here:

but while entering the root folder name here works for other IMAP mail accounts I use (so you see "Sent Items" under root not subdirectory) I use I never got it to work properly for Gmail on Outlook 2016 for some reason.
