Windows 10: Windows update loss of wifi connections and search bar

hi all


im running windows 10 on a hp envey.


microsoft keeps updating and when it instaleld the updates i loose the following.


search bar from next to windows button at bottom of screen

no wifi networks are shown or vpn connections

search bar from file exploer


any ideas?

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

 

WiFi connection not visible after Windows 10 update

If the issue persists, we suggest that you make sure that the Radio Management and
Windows Connection Manager services are running. These services enable management of network connectivity on your computer. Here's how:

• Click Start.
• In the search bar, type Services, and then select Services from the list of results.
• Look for Radio Management and Windows Connection Manager
  in the list of services and check if the status is Running and startup type is
  Automatic.
• You can double-click on the service name to start the service and set the startup type to
  Automatic.

Loss of Wifi

• Click on Network and Internet.
• Under Network, click on Network Adapter.
