    Activating windows 10 education on a new system


    Hey I just have a quick question, I'm updating my pc components after a few years (basically a new build) so i know I'd have to reinstall windows. I'm currently running windows 10 education (linked to my microsoft account) but I'm not part of the institution I got the key from anymore.

    Can I still use the regular windows installation tool or is there anything I should know before hand? Like will I have to buy another copy of windows?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Does it matter that this article is about Windows 10 Pro or do I have to follow the same steps to activate windows education on Windows 10 Home?Thanks a lot
