Windows 10: Touchscreen doesn't work after W10 2004 aka 20H1 update

This threat is for the people that have a PC x360 HP Pavilion 11-n000sl model: G2C02EA and probably some others Intel Atom processor based PCs with touchscreen that doesn't work no more after the Windows 10 2020 may update. Other sensors like gyroscope don't work no more neither.


WU updates the I2C Controller driver with a 2016 version that creates the matter.


So you must find the I2C Controller driver and get it back to its old version as you can look in the image below: you can see the driver version that works is the 2013 one.


To find it between peripherals, BE CAREFUL THAT, AFTER THE UPDATE, THIS DEVICE IS CALLED

"Intel Atom....bla bla bla... I2C.....bla bla bla"

and you shuld set it up as the image below "I2C Controller".





To get back to its old version you just should select it in the list, choosing the "setup drive manually" options.


After that, touchscreen, gyroscope and other sensors start working again.

No restart is required.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.
