Windows 10: Windows 10 Touch keyboard staying in Caps Lock issue

To my knowledge this bug has never been fixed only numerous workarounds.


The Problem

When using any of the touch keyboards except for the standard keyboard e.g. mobile, split , fullstandard expanded more often than not using Caps or shift locks the caps on even if you toggle caps off and the characters appear in lower case.

I favour the full keyboard somit may be less frequent on the other two and maybe only initiated from the full one and carried across to the others , except the standard one.

It is likely caused by a certain sequence of touches or even a mischievous Easter Egg from a coder.


Fastest/easiest Temporary workaround

This is resolved by switching to the standard or First keyboard on the setting option , it will show all characters in uppercase, toggle shift and you can return to your favoured keyboard.


Question

From a search this has been an ongoing issue since Windows 8.1.

As it is clearly a coding error easily repeatable why haven't Microsoft resolved it?

All that they have to do is use the code from the shift toggle on the standard keyboard for the other 3 , Caps on the full one.

I have reported it via Windows 10 feedback but I get the feeling Microsoft don't action those.

Caps lock on touch keyboard

I use a surface pro 4.

When I use my touch keyboard, it starts caps lock as default, and I can't find the reason why. I always have to manually change it whenever I use it, and the next time I use it it's caps lock again. Is this an error, a setting or something else? How can
I fix this issue?

 

Cap Lock won't stay on using windows 8.1 RT and touch screen keyboard.

I have a Nokia Lumia tablet that uses 8.1 RT and when I want to keep the cap lock on and tap the up arrow on the keyboard the key turns white but when I remove my finger it goes back to grey and won't keep cap lock on. If I switch to the full size touch
keyboard it has a separate cap key and it will keep cap on. I used to be able to double tap the up arrow (cap) to keep caps on. I have done all the recent updates.

hello

when I type words in on my keyboard it will stay in the correct caps setting but when I change it it stays for about an extra 3-5 minutes before changing to the setting of the correct cap. this has become a problem as recently it has caused me to slow down
when typing

-I can only change it holding down caps lock and typing

-any help would be gratefull
