Windows 10: Windows update 2004 failure, error code 80004005

Hi, I have a problem when I try to update to 2004 from 1909.

I used windows update assistant and everything went well before the restarting the computer at the installing part.

I have tried to turn off the WSUS and restart but it does not work. Every time it goes wrong at 88% and gets stuck when it shows a message about going to restart the computer.

windows 10 update/Upgrade : repeated failure with error code 80004005-20004

System : Lenovo Thinkpad 8 - running Windows 8.1, 32 bit.

Windows 10 upgrade / update failed at least 10 times with same error code 80004005-20004.

All steps according to the suggestion from Windows community users and MS Experts (!) have been followed.

Lenovo BIOS UPDATE was done.

Media Installation from .ISO has been tried. The result is the same failure with same error code 80004005-20004 ( this time a message appears : Windows 10 installation failed in safe_ os_ phase with error during install_ recovery_ environment )

Any help please, community friends / members ?

What about listening from some MS Experts, do they keep silent too as MS Windows Upgrade does each time, even after several efforts by all means ??

May be this is the reason Windows 10 is free for some days, let all waste their time and internet data, solutions come from the users and MS collect those resources to have a steady business thereafter.

 

Error Code 80004005

I have been trying to update my phone, I have a Nokia Lumina 710 and each time I try I get an error code, 80004005. Any suggestions?

 

Windows 10 Update Failed | Error Code 80004005

Hi,

I have tried to install Windows 10 Upgrade 5 times since yesterday but failed each time.



Each time the update downloads successfully, tells me to agree to TC, and then Apply upgrade. I follow all of these steps, the computer goes through the process of applying the "updates to Windows 10 n% complete", computer restarts into old Windows 8.1 and
after I log in it automatically launches Windows Update and shows me that update failed.



My system is an ASUS RoG G750JX gaming laptop. The antivirus (Avast, which is Windows 10 ready as per their latest update) and system drivers are all up to date. My system also meets the Windows 10 update requirement check.



The error Code is 80004005. This code does not match any Windows 10 Update failure posts in these forums. Additionally, the Microsoft published common list of error codes related to Windows 10 Update do not list an error code 80004005.



So you see, I'm pretty much stumped at this point. I have exhausted all methods I could think of and wasted my bandwidth by downloading the same 2.7 Gigs over and over again.

I would really appreciate some help now, coz I can't think of any other reason / solution.
