Windows 10: Windows 10 camera app/legacy game console video and audio

I'm using a USB device that accepts RCA inputs. Since my computer sees it as a webcam, I figured that I could use the camera application to see the input from my Gamecube and other legacy consoles. Video wise, it's far superior to the software included with the device, especially since I can maximize the window to fullscreen. However, I can't hear any sound. Recording video and playing it back, I know that the app is detecting sound and recording it too, but I want to be able to hear it live as I'm playing my old games and potentially streaming it in the future. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change or do I have to look for some other piece of software?

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

 

Can’t hear audio while recording games or videos

We will need some more information to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please reply with the following details:

• How are you recording the games or videos?
  
• When you say, “I can't hear anything” you are unable to get the in-game audio or your voice?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If you are using Game bar to record the games or videos, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming.
   
3. Click on Capture on the left pane.
   
4. Clear the check box for Record gaming audio only.
   
5. Follow the same steps for Broadcasting.

Unable to change audio input on Camera app


Hi,

I recently got a new computer running Windows 10 and was hoping to record gameplay. I plan on using fraps to record the game (and its sound), and use the Windows Camera app (which comes preinstalled) for a facecam and my voice. My webcam has bad audio so I was wanting to use the video that my webcam captured, but use my headset to record my voice. I know you could change the audio input on the Windows 8 version of the app, but I cannot find this option in the Windows 10 one. My headset is already set as the default recording device in my computer's settings but the camera app still does not pick this up, and picks up the audio from the webcam itself instead.

Does anyone know a way to do this in the Windows 10 Camera App? If not, can anyone recommend some different software where I am able to have the video from my webcam but change the audio so that it's from the headset?
