Windows 10: Windows 10 update 2004

5 times now I have tried to let Windows 10 update to 2004, 5 times I have restored my system from a complete backup thank god I had it I had to call InstallShield support as I ran out of the number of times I could return and re-register my license. When I let Windows 10 if I wasn't a developer, I would have stayed with Windows 7, for better OS it downloads and get stuck at 93% for 4hrs, it gets done and than starts installing and wants to restart to finish, hours and I mean hours later 6hrs I go back and see the update stuck in the 90s% range, I let it go overnight, in the morning I come back and its says its restarting, hours go by, so I come back and still restarting with blue screen and twirling dots, last night I let it go all night with twirling dots for restart, finally this morning after two hours I just hit my reset button, computer booted up and as soon as it did, I get message from my system "This update is ready to install! We need your help deciding when to restart so we can finish up." !!! ??? Really, I have been caught in this battle with Microsoft's lamest OS ever, WHY you make it so you have to take updates is beyond understanding!! Windows 10 will make it so a person has to update hardware every few years because hardware makers wont keep supporting drivers past so many years, they want you to purchase new and Windows 10 and Microsoft is helping them accomplish just that, disgusting!! I have a few developer programs that I have to return licenses every time windows 10 updates and I go around and around with them as to why they make the licenses tagged to software Windows Number and machine code they should just use machine code tag as Windows 10 is changing all the time this is why I don't make my software tagged to windows. Anyway, enough of my venting, your update version 2004 for Windows 10 Pro 64bit does NOT install and keeps a system if a forever loop wanting to install but doesn't, thanks Microsoft, I remember when IBM was the big monkey and Micro as in small company...soft was small and making new in roads....after version 7 when you hit the nail on the head, you scrapped wonderful for constant terror, lol. Any ideas?? I have tried so many and am digging into logs now, even with Visual Studio 2019 to see error logging, its a real mystery. I see on the web, there are a lot having same problems.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
