Windows 10: Non-erasable file on desktop?

Discus and support Non-erasable file on desktop? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Hey, I kind of put a non-erasable test.gif file on my desktop.     Hey, I kind of put a non-erasable test.gif file on my desktop.

    I cannot delete them even with Admin CMD. Does anyone else have an idea?

    PS: Turning off visibility is not an option...

    windows 10 deleted my desktop files

    Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

    Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

    copied all files again to desktop.

    Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

    Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
    Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

    Finally! An alternative to eraser...

    it looks much cleaner then the eraser so that is a big step up.

    Non-erasable file on desktop?

    Windows program to secure erase files only

    I tried doing a search and only found optimal ways to fully erase a disc. Since there are a ton of programs I thought it best to just ask for a current recommendation. I would like to erase a few folders only on a W7 machine and do not need a full time paid program.

    Thank you for any suggestions.
