Windows 10: Wifi Connected & Secure But No Internet

Yesterday I came back home and was ready to message some of my pals and set up a stream, but the computer wouldn't properly connect to the internet. I managed to get it so it registers that the wifi is connected to the internet and connect to it, but when I try using anything like Chrome or Discord, it can't access the internet for some reqson. The only thing that could've possibly caused this is me switching back to my home network after using my friend's for a few days, but doing this has never given me any issues before.


I know it's an issue with the laptop itself A Dell Inspiron 15 since everything else in the house is able to connect and access the internet. I've tried various things such as restarting, flushing DNS, forgetting the wifi, uninstalling and reinstalling the network drivers, seeing if I can update the network drivers, using the built-in troubleshooting program, changing the IPv4 DNS servers, messing with the wifi properties, and even rebooting the wifi itself a couple times. None of these solutions have worked. The closest I've gotten is being able to use the internet for less than a minute after one of the wifi reboots. Any suggestions I can try?

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

Thanks for the response. I did exactly as you suggested. Unfortunately it did not work.

I have tried to connect to the wifi broadcast by my iPhone. That did not work either. Same error. "No Internet, secured."

 

Wireless connection available but says "No internet, secured"

What if there's no - Wireless lan listed? Everything else is there and I tried your steps but it didn't work. Still have WiFi no internet, secured message.
