Windows 10: usb drivers gone

Discus and support usb drivers gone in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; i tried plugging in a webcam into my pc but got bluescreend and it deleted all of my usb drivers. now is my question, how do i get them back without...     usb drivers gone


    i tried plugging in a webcam into my pc but got bluescreend and it deleted all of my usb drivers.

    now is my question, how do i get them back without having to reinstall windows and lose all my datai have no way to back it up, i also have a liquid cooler that is powered by usb so that needs to work asap because it is barely cooling my cpu now.

    my specs are:

    cpu: amd ryzen5 2600x

    mb: msi b350 tomahawk plus

    ram: 4x4gb at 3000Mhz

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Method 1: Troubleshoot

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your USB. Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter


    Method 2.

    Try updating the latest USB devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

    Follow the steps to update the USB drivers:

    a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

    b. Expand the USB driver.

    c. Right-click on the USB and click on Update driver software.

    d. Restart the computer and check.

    Can you send us a screenshot of the error message? We suggest uninstalling and re-installing USB drivers and check if the issue persists. To do that, please follow these steps:

    • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    • Right-click on the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click on
      Uninstall to remove it.
    • Repeat these steps for the entire USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    • Restart the computer. Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.
