  1. Server intitiated unenrollment doesnt disconnect the MDM account from the Management server

    Looks like I got the product category wrong, as I dont find a suitable one for this issue. Request admin to put it in the right category

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Enrolled a Windows 10 device of version 1809OS Build 17763.292 through Provisioning Package mode of enrollment to a Management server
    2. After thet the deevice is able to sync sucessfully and execute the commands from different CSPs sent down by the management server
    3. Able to successfuly enforce Personalization CSPLockscreen/wallpaper image and DM Client CSPpoll schedule and intervals
    4. But when tried to unenroll the MDM client using DM CLient CSP's unenroll command, the sync fails for that iteration, but later on the device is able to sucessfully sync in ints next sync cycle

    The SyncML request that has been sent down to unenroll the device is as folows"ManagementServer" being the ProviderID as will as the MDM management server :
    <Exec>
    <CmdID>2</CmdID>
    <Item>
    <Target>
    <LocURI>./Vendor/MSFT/DMClient/Provider/ManagementServer/Unenroll</LocURI>
    </Target>
    <Meta>
    <Format xmlns=”syncml:metinf”>chr</Format>
    </Meta>
    <Data>ManagementServer</Data>
    <!-- Data Field in Threshold is now IGNORED -->
    </Item>
    </Exec>

    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
    1. The MDM account which is managed by the Management server mentioned in the provisioning package should be removed and the device should stop syncing.

    :)

  3. media servers

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

    1. May I know the version of Windows that you are using?
    2. Have you tried to manually disconnect the Media Servers from Windows Explorer?

    This issue can occur if some of the system files are not working as expected.

    We can try a few steps to manually disconnect the media servers from the list:

    1. Press ‘Windows key + E’ on the keyboard to open ‘Windows Explorer.
    2. On the left hand side, click on ‘This PC’ to highlight.
    3. Select the ‘Media Server’.
    4. On top of the screen, on the ribbon, click on "Computer" tab.
    5. Click on ‘Access Media’ and then select the option ‘Disconnect from a media server’.

    Further, request you to
    include a screenshot
    of that problem screen in your reply to guide you further.

    Hope this helps.

    Let us know if you got the help you needed by clicking 'Yes' or 'No'.
