Windows 10: Lenovo explorer and Mixed Reality problems

Whenever I plug in my Lenovo Explorer into my computer, usually it starts, but then the Mixed Reality Portal stops, and the only thing that it says is "Ready". Usually, there is a small arrow at the bottom of the portal to start it, but there is nothing. After I start the portal, I can see the windows logo, then my headset goes black. I can tell that it is still on because once in a while, it turns on, but it goes dark again if I try to move. I cannot tell if this is a hardware problem. I have played games on my headset for almost a year without any problems, and this has started to happen recently. Can anyone help me with this?

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.
3. Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
4. Are you getting any specific error messages when setting up the Mixed Reality Controllers?
5. What is the make and model of your computer?

Upon researching, it was stated in this article that KB4284848 "Addresses a performance issue with Windows Mixed Reality on some laptops with hybrid graphics adapters, such as Surface Book 2".
If you're using a laptop that supports hybrid graphics adapters, then its advisable to install the said KB update.
