Windows 10: Is Cursor speed and Pointer speed the same thing or do they stack

As title. Is there a difference between the two settings? And where should I place the ticks on these settings so that I know my mouse is operating at its actual DPI? e.g. 800 DPI as set in my mouse software

Click and drag keeps speeding up on touchpad

Hi,

Do you face this issue while moving the mouse cursor normally on the desktop screen?

If yes, I suggest you to follow the below steps in order to slow down the mouse cursor speed.

• Go to control panel.
• Click on mouse.
• under pointers options tab adjust the pointer speed, click
  apply and ok

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Ease of Access - Mouse

From there you can change the size of the mouse Pointer and cursor

To change the speed of your Mouse, in the Settings App, go to Devices - Mouse and at the top right you will find advanced Mouse settings

On the resulting dialog, on the Pointer Opitons Tab, you can set the speed of your mouse and a few other settings . . .

Do you mean the mouse pointer speed? If so

Go to Settings -----> Devices -----> Mouse

Move the slider left to slow the speed and move it right to increase the speed.
