Windows 10: Multiple Games crash randomly

Hello dear community


My problem is as follows:


Everytime I am playing some games the screen turns grey for a few seconds, afterwards it turns black and if I am lucky, i get back into the game like nothing happened. But after a few times the game crashes completely.


Games concerned:

- Steam: Company of Heroes 2, Medieval Kingdoms and Green hell

- Origin: Sims 4

- Local saved: World of Warships and World of Tanks


I already let the system check my graphic card and it seems to be ok. I can also play a graphic intense game like Monster Hunter World on highest settings without one single crash. Since this problem concerns different games on different clients I suspect the problem at windows. oh and before you ask: i am running a geforce GTX 980 Ti and I have the latest driver updates, the latest windows update and the latest game updates.


In case it helps: a few years ago I was able to play all those games without crashes. But i resetted my PC a few months ago and since then I am facing those problems. I have never ever had problems with World of tanks before. On my Lap Top World of tanks doesn't run aswell or let's say: i can play one round and after I start the second, the game crashes like on PC.


Now what's really interesting is: I tried to record this phenomen with Nvidia in-game-recorder. After I watched the video of it but the bug is not visible at all! the game just stocks at the point it happens and then the video runs fluently. Here is the video:

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Programs and games randomly crashing

When using windows 10 and especially when gaming my programs and games randomly crash. This has been happening for about a week now, and is getting quite annoying.
