so now iTunes is in the Microsoft store the only way to launch it is from the start menu.

A by typing the iTunes name and launching the app from there

    or

B creating the taskbar app link in the taskbar

Both of those work but that is not the issue

The app itunes.exe no longer exists on my pc. . . Thi9s must be due to the fact the app is now a "serial numbered app" from the ms store such that it is not a exe any longer. I have to believe that this can not be only happening to me... apple site has a reference to this but it has not helped.

My issues is sort of like how to create a link to it in streamdeck . . . . you have to be able to point to the exe or a link to it. I have the same issue with links from object desktop.... any other app that can not be seen as a "shortcutable" app as it will point to a real launchable file.

The itunes app appears to have been turned into a program that is now hidden in the operating system as a set of managed services.

    Thanks

    Tim

    Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
