  1. New Pc, Reactivate Windows

I just built a new pc for the first time today.

It needs to activate windows, following the rabbit hole I guess I need to find my license key again. I had Win 7 on first pc, we bought an SSD a few months ago, I bought win 10 from the online store. We put the SSD in my new pc.

Do I just need to put my ssd back in the old pc, and be able to go to system settings and get my product key, write that down, then put it back in the new pc? Is there any other way? I have checked my emails to see if I had linked the account, or some confirmation email, I don't see it. Is it under a different search topic then windows?

    :)

    New Pc, Reactivate Windows

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
