Working out the cause of consistent crashes

    Hi there community,

I have recently pulled out an old PC that I put to one side after I couldn't work out what the problems were years ago. Since I have a bit more knowledge as to how computers work now I pulled it out last weekend, took it apart and cleaned it and then rebuilt it. I bought a new SSD and put Windows 10 Pro on it and used the old Hybrid drive which was stuck in a "Critical Error" boot loop as a data drive.

The thing is I am still running into fairly consistent problems with crashes, both in boot up and in general use, I cannot recreate these with stress testing and from monitoring I can tell that nothing is overheating or overworking. My first thought was bad RAM so I ran the memory checker and the RAM passed all the tests. I then booted with each stick of RAM in the first slot on the motherboard, all booted. Then I ran with the first stick of RAM in each of the motherboard slots and all booted.

I thought it might be device driver related because a couple of the crashes gave me black screens and the audio was stuttering before completely crashing. I have downloaded the latest version on Radeon Software and updated my drivers to all recommended on there.

This seems to have stopped those sorts of crashes from happening but I am still getting crashes when booting and with general use which I can't work out where they are coming from.

I have linked the dump files and the system information below if you wish to look through it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

    George

    Windows 10 Crashes consistently.

After upgrading my laptop from windows 8.1 to windows 10 back in July, windows 10 has crashed consistently every 3 to 6 days. Back at the start of october i did a clean install of windows 10 hoping that it would solve the problem it didnt. Even after the
inital clean install it ccrashed after 10 days then went back to crashing every 3 to 6. I upgraded to the november upgraded and you guessed it, the crashing is back, this is getting very annoying and frustrating because i simply do not know what is causing
my laptop to crash so consistently. Windows 10 would simply crash then restart 4 minutes later and would be fine, everything works and then 3 to 6 days later it would crash restart etc etc. I should point out, when i was on 8.1 i got zero crashes. Can someone
explain if they know whats happening or has happened and any suggestions to eradicate the problem / problems ?

GPU-Z 0.7.5 causing crashes on load up

Any chance you could narrow it down to which running application causes GPU-Z to crash? Ideally steps to reproduce for me here.

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
