Windows Search and Settings app automatically tabbing on its own

    Hi,

I've noticed a very strange thing happening within Exploroer and Settings recently on my PC. For some reason when I run searches either from the start menu or within File Explorer, the cursor immediately moves as though I've hit tab, and whenever I try to go back to the text field, either by tabbing back or using the mouse, it immediately does it again.

The issue also happens within Windows Settings, if I navigate to, say, Update and Security, the right hand column is immdiately highlighted as though I've tabbed to it, and tabbing back to any other area immediately makes it snap back to there. The same thing happens if I use the mouse. Here's a link to a video demonstrating the issue

It seems to be an issue with these particular things, as I am able to use other programs, for example Edge, Steam, or run games, with no issue at all. I'm on Windows version 2004, and completely up to date, as are my keyboard and mouse drivers after checking them in Device Manager. Any ideas what's causing this and how to fix it?

    Thanks,

    RoRulon

    :)

Open a website (NOT a folder) in its own window automatically.: Example : I have Tenforums.com opened. Now I access TechNet forum. I would like to have TechNet opened in its own window. I know I can always drag it out from the tab and make it its own window. I just want it done automatically. Thank you. 44669
