Windows 10: Windows 10 boot media not working on Lenovo 520 Aio.

So I have Lenovo 520 ideacentre and whenever I try to use my usb, which contains the boot media, all I get is the Lenovo loading screen and the blue windows logo then the computer will restart over and over again. When the usb I is not inserted I get error 1962 which states that no bootable device has been found. This all started after I tried to factory reset the computer because it had some else’s information on it.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the windows 10 media but that didn’t work. I’m not even sure if that’s what I was supposed to do because on google and YouTube it seems like no one else has had this problem.

Let's Uninstall Intel RST Driver from the Device manager;

First make a restore point in case something goes wrong.

In the device manager follow those steps to replace the Intel RST driver with the standard Windows SATA AHCI driver:

Off the wall suggestion check the task scheduler for any odd tasks that maybe running at
start up.

Since there is a lot of disk I/O, I suspect that the Prefetcher is not working properly.





Superfetch is a mechanism used by Windows 10 to prefetch data from HDD and store them in a memory cache to speed data access on mechanical disks.
But if this service is broken he can make things worse.

I suggest the following:

• Open services console;
• disable Sysmain service;
• delete "C:\Windows\Prefetch\Readyboot" folder content;
• reboot your PC 3 or 4 times and see if this make any difference;

you can next re-enadable the SysMain service, and restart your PC 6 times minimum to allow the Prefetecher to rebuild its database;
