Windows 10: Unable to install updates KB4560960 & KB4552931

The following 2 updates constantly fail to install

2020-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 KB4552931 - Error 0x80073712.Status: Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: 0x80073712

2020-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4560960 - Error 0x8007000d. Status: Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: 0x8007000d

I have tried various guides thus far in an attempt to find a solution that also include

·

Rename software distribution folders

Temporarily remove third-party security software

Repair hard drive errors

Perform a clean boot into Windows

Restore and repair system files

Tried the "Windows Update Reset Tool" recommended by Microsoft support bot

The issue sadly persists

May 12, 2020 - KB4552931 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 and Windows Server 1903 RTM and Windows 10, version 1909 and Windows Server, version 1909

Summary

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in .NET Framework software when the software fails to check the source markup of a file. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights. Exploitation of the vulnerability requires that a user open a specially crafted file with an affected version of .NET Framework. In an email attack scenario, an attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending the specially crafted file to the user and convincing the user to open the file. The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how .NET Framework checks the source markup of a file.

CVE-2020-0605

A denial of service vulnerability exists when .NET Framework improperly handles web requests. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause a denial of service against a .NET Framework web application. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely, without authentication. A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing specially crafted requests to the .NET Framework application. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the .NET Framework web application handles web requests.

(KB4560960) - Error 0x800f0900 -> CBS.log

Following some instructions found to troubleshoot the error listed in the thread title, I ran the scannow, with these results:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc/scannowBeginning system scan. This process will take some time.Beginning verification phase of system scan.Verification 100% complete.Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located atwindir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offlinerepairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I did not find any OFFLOGFILE flags (searching for the text OFFLOGFILE). I'm not sure how I should proceed.

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?
