Windows 10: USB driver + reinstsall

Hello every one,

it looks like I am having some DRIVER issues with USB and a new pair of headset i bought with a USB controller that is giving me hard time.


Sometimes PC stop working, when I restart it no USB port is working and becase of that I have to use a recovery option or do a clean new installation.

QUESTION 1:
My Windows 10 is linked to my Microsoft Account. I bought my copy from the store. How many times can i reinstall windows 10 on the same machine?


QUESTION 2:
any idea how to recover the not working USB ports without having to use the recovery option?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your USB. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

Method 2.

Try updating the latest USB devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the USB drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand the USB driver.

c. Right-click on the USB and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

USB composite device "driver error"

Can you send us a screenshot of the error message? We suggest uninstalling and re-installing USB drivers and check if the issue persists. To do that, please follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  
• Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Right-click on the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click on
  Uninstall to remove it.
• Repeat these steps for the entire USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Restart the computer. Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.

USB driver list comes out. 8 Don't choose anything else.
