Windows 10: Iron isn't your default browser

Hey, I just set up my OS again and now it keeps telling me "Iron isn't your default browser" BUT IT IS!

I made it the default browser AT LEAST 20 times in two days and it keeps telling me it isn't the default brwoser.

I installed edge deflector and it works. Iron really IS the default browser, so why does it keep telling me it isn't?

Can I turn the browser check off somehow? I know it was possible in the past.


Also I installed the Windows N version and now it keeps telling me a media feature .dll is missing which is CLEARLY not missing. I added it manually and double checked the file integrety and location.


I would also like to REMOVE edge/internet explorer from my HDD. I never used it and never will. And I refuse to let them FORCE me to use something I REALLY, REALLY don't want to. I know windows says it's not possible, but you can delete EVERYTHING if you want to.



I'm THIS CLOSE to say **** it and install Lubuntu.

Set as default browser in one click

To set SRware Iron as your default browser, kindly follow the steps provided on the article:

Change your default browser in Windows 10. If SRware Iron is not listed, you can set it through
Set defaults by app. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

• Click Start button.
• Type in Default app settings.
• In the search results, select Default app settings.
• Click Set defaults by app.
• Click the program SRware Iron from the list.
• And then, click Set this program as default.
• Click OK.

It seems that the program is not being detected as a browser, for that reason it shows to be unavailable in the list of browsers. To set SRWare Iron as a default browser, kindly follow the steps below:

• Open SRWare Iron browser.

• Under the Settings category, scroll down until you see the
  Default browser section.

Set as default browser in one click

In windows 7, when opening a browser, it would tell me: "This isn't your default browsers, set as default?", and a button would appear that I could click and the browser would instantly become the default browser. Now in windows 10, it takes me to a menu
which, for my impatient self, is annoying. And the browser that I use (SRware Iron) doesn't even show up in the list of default programs, so I can't even set it as default. Is there an option to make this possible? I want to be able to click that "set as default
browser" button and forget about it.
