  1. ideapad 110S. I inadvertently changed user and now I can't login.

    Hi All,

I bought a Lenovo Ideapad about 2 years ago 2nd hand. It has worked fine but only has 32gb hard drive with only a few mb to spare and was unable to update, so I added an expansion 1tb portable drive. As I was going through the system , having a general clean up when I came across the name "bluenose" which I believe was the previous owner. Somewhere along the line I inadvertently changed user. Now I can't login as it does not recognise my password.

Is there a way that I can rectify this problem. I think the OS was originally win 7 and then updated to win 10.

    Many thanks, in anticipation.

    :)

  2. Lenovo Ideapad 110 with Win 10; Not able to switch the user

Lenovo Ideapad 110 with Win 10; Not able to switch the user..

Boots up with earlier configured user name, prompts for his password. Doesn't allow to switch to a new user, or creation of one.

Use case: Laptop was given to an employee, who left the org. Now it need to be re-purposed with a different user. Any suggestions?

  4. ideapad 110S. I inadvertently changed user and now I can't login.

Lenovo Ideapad 110 with Win 10; Not able to switch the user

    Hi Vijaykrishna,

It appears that the user account created for him doesn't have administrator rights. You may try to enable the built-in administrator account to create a new user account. Follow these steps:

    • Click the Windows key, locate Windows System, and then click it.
    • Under Windows System, right-click the command prompt option, then click
      Run as administrator.
    • Once the command prompt is open, type the command shown below:

    Net user administrator /active: yes

Once done, the hidden administrator should now be enabled. Login on your PC using this account and try creating or adding another user account. Please refer to this link.

Let us know if you need further help.

    Regards.
