I'm simply trying to move the user account folders like Downloads and Documents into my larger hard drive (the D: Drive) instead. Why the fuck is this so complicated. Okay, I change the location simple enough. Why is the computer being stupid and asking me to redirect all of the items from one folder into the other. If I click "no," then it doesn't continue with the transfer. How can Windows 10 be so much dumber than previous versions?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Windows 10 really has to be this convoluted with moving folders, huh?

    Lost a REALLY IMPORTANT folder

    Hi Tanya,

We'd like to know a few things to understand this better and help you recover the missing folder. Please answer these questions:

    • Did you lose it after upgrading to Windows 10?
    • How long has it been since you installed Windows 10 on the computer?
Windows 10 does not apply changes or remove personal files without your permission. We suggest you restore the previous version of the folder or drive that used to contain the files you are looking for. Refer to this

    page
    for the steps.

Let us know if you need more help.

    Regards.
