Windows 10: Windows Updates Ruining PC Gaming Performace

So i recently purchased the MSI GP75 Leopard w/ the RTX 2070 not a Max-Q or a Max-P & a i7-10750H 6C 12 Threads & ever sense the newest windows updates it has been ruining my FPS in PC games like The Division 2, Monster Hunter World & more were the lowest settings cant run stable 60 FPS or 80 FPS before the new updates were rolled out. My PC gaming was flawless everything played the way i wanted to be played. Windows 10 is terrible for PC gaming. There's too many processes eating up performance i could put towards my games. Even Windows Game Mode is not working like it used too! I'm not new to PC gaming. Before i even boot my game up. I close out all the processes & applications i don't need active that could degrade my gaming performance like im not stupid but, Now that doesn't work anymore. I wish i could turn off cortana & other useless windows feature that i really don't need installed or active that are more an likely not need to make my PC run normally. Like cortana but, Windows locked all the useless features i don't use an i always believed those were the main cause. Like come on RTX 2070 struggling to keep 80 FPS in Monster Hunter World on the lowest preset. Give me a BREAK! The RTX 2070 should smash that game! I only had texture quality on High w/ Ansiotropic on High that's literally it an i'm struggling.


I really wish Windows 10 was lightweight like Linux! They claim its Light but, Its really not. Its a Un-Optimized mess for PC Gamers! Ive tried all i could to get my performance back but, Nothing has worked. I'm at the giving up point.

i am still on build 1809 and i am delaying using 1903 for now because i have been hearing that it ruins game performance. thanks for your tip and i will suggest it to others who are having that issue

SSD Performace ?


Have a older computer and just installed a Samsung SSD. The computer only has Sata2 ports so my performance is limited. Here is my benchmark before a new Controller Card,I just installed a Satalll (6gbps) 2-port PCI-Express Controller Card. My benchmarks went down? Did not expect this. Any suggestions on this.
