    Surface Pro behaves weirdly after a certain period of hibernate or sleep while charging


    Each morning I turn on my Surface Pro from the sleep or hibernate mode, the apps would not work properly. All of the apps from the Microsoft Store work just fine, but I can't seem to open apps that have been installed with a .exe file. This includes Microsoft Edge. And if it was already open, I still can't use it at all. The page would just reload endlessly, the same happens when I open new tab. What is happening here? The Task Manager works, but the icons are all gone. I don't feel lag or anything. Each time this happened I need to force shut down the Surface with the power button, because it won't let me do it through the "proper" route. It would stuck at the "shutting down" screen.

    I have a weird powercfg /a response and no Hibernate anywhere-Surface Pro 3

    I have tried all manners that I know of to enable Hibernate

    Microsoft support has posted a help article with instructions to fix this issue:

    Hi, thank you. I could restart my surface pro 4 but still could not fix the Surface Pro 4 screen not turn on after sleep. I am still looking forward to hearing more suggestions to fix the black screen after sleep.

    Charge in Sleep and Hibernation Modes

    Rest Assured, even if your laptop is asleep, hibernating or switched off, charging will continue until the battery is fully charged . . .

    Sleep means anything in RAM (Short term memory) is kept there, until you wake your laptop, hibernation means the state of your RAM is written to your hard drive (long term memory)

    Sleep is meant to be used for short periods of rest, hibernation for longer periods of rest . . .
