  1. Windows 10 returns to logon screen immediately after successfully log into Administrator...

My laptop is a Thinkpad T430 running on Windows 10 Education 10.0.18362.836 Version 1903.

It worked well in the past year with one Administrator account, which is set up with a gmail address and uses fingerprint or pin to log in.

Today I decided to change the account type to user account to increase security. I created a new account with my current outlook account and set that account as Administrator account. Then I immediately set the original account as user account without sign out or sign in the new Admin account. After that I rebooted my machine.

Now, on the logon screen, I can see my newly created Administrator account and my original account. I can sign in my original account by fingerprint or password as usual. However, every time I sign in the new account with my Microsoft password, after the dialog terminates the system immediately returns to logon screen. I tried many times, but this loop never ends.

I am sure I entered the correct password, since I tried some wrong passwords and the dialog failed, and I changed my password once.

Another thing is, in my original account, when I want to run something with Administrator privilege, UAC dialog shows up. If I try to enter the password for the Admin account, the screen blacks out for a few seconds and tells me "the user name or password is incorrect". If I use my fingerprint, it tells me "The requested operation requires elevation" since my original account is no longer administrator. It seems that the Admin account is now corrupted and I can do nothing about it.

Also, account.live.com shows the history of my outlook account, which is also my new Admin account, has successfully signed in for a few times in the past few hours, which is corresponding to my failed attempts to actually log into Admin account at logon screen.

Now I am totally stuck. Please help me regain my Admin privileges.

    :)

Windows return to Log In Screen immediately after Success Log In

    Hello all,

I'm facing this problem with a second account (simple user without password) that i have in my computer.

When i press the Login button, the Desktop screen it's appear for 2-3 seconds and it get me back to the Login Screen without doing anything. It is look like a "fake" log out.

And I mean fake because, with an Administrator user account i can log on normally. Also, the same time i can see that the other account who's fascinating the problem it's still logged on.

I looked at the Event Viewer for errors and i get this all the time:

Windows 10 returns to logon screen immediately after successfully log into Administrator... [IMG]

I made an another account as the previous (simple user) and i can log in normally.

Any idea of what is's going wrong with this account?

    Thank you
