Windows Server 2012 / R2 ... conversion to Windows Server 2019
We have been successfully launching an access application via remote desktop for years so that the desktop is not available to the user, but the application is started directly.

So far we have had this running on a WindowsServer 2012 / R2; There you can activate the option 'Start the following program at login' in the properties of the users in 'Computer management >>> System >>> Local users and groups >>> Users' in the 'Properties' tab and in the 'Program' field in one Specify the command line where the Access is located, where the Access application and which database should be used.

Now we have switched to Windows Server 2019. This option of setting is still offered, only it does not work. When you start the RemoteDesktop, you wrongly get to the desktop. And we don't want that because the desktop should not be available for most users.

I have purchased the product key of Windows Server 2012 R2. Now the server is on Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation. I found a few links there they explained on how to convert from Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation to Windows Server 2012 R2 with valid product

Is this a correct way to do? If I follow this step, will my data be erased?

I want to avoid formatting/fresh Windows install because there are some software in the server that we do not know how to backup. We just want to get it activated now, backup will be sorted out later.

 

Problem with data replication from win server 2019 to server 2012 R2

Can I do data replication from win server 2019 with Active Directory to server 2012 R2 without Active Directoriy?

Or I must install Active Directory on device with win server 2012 R2 first

Does Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 (and 2019) support Location Sensors

I have an installation of Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 (and I am building a Windows Server 2019 too), neither of them seem to support Location Sensors. In Windows Server 2012 R2 there is nothing in Control Panel for Location and other
Sensors and in Windows Server 2016 there appears to be location information in settings but it is disabled and anything trying to use it finds it disabled. My question is does the Windows Server OSes support location sensors at all? If so then how do I add/enable
this functionality in those platforms?
