I am still on hold for Windows 10 May update how long does it take 2 multi-billion dollar companies to update an audio driver?

I am assuming that my Conexant audio driver is to blame - why on Earth doesn't Windows update lets us know why were are being held?

The thing is, I never actually use the internal audio - I run my sounds either through a Bluetooth headset or through a USB dock and external speaker.

So my question is, "Is there a way I could simply remove the Conexant audio driver in such a way that Windows update would
    a unlock the update
b allow the update to run without the driver being added back in and generating a crash"

As a rider question - any chance that anyone will get their finger out on this? The same sad message has been on the health dashboard for 36 days now. It was opened on May 27 at 12:20 am and there has been no news since same for all the other hold/compatibility updates.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Hello,

after last update of connexant speaker doesn't work on my HP Probook 450 G4. I can't even play test sound. I am really desperate because I've tried everything that I found as "help" on Internet but nothing works for me.
