    Windows 10 Time Syncronization fails


    Every single morning when I login to my Windows 10 machine I find that the time is many hours ahead and not at all synced with my actual local time in Eastern US. This is a problem as I cannot make a VPN connection for work until the time is correctly synced. I currently have time set to sync automatically, set time zone automatically is disabled, time zone set to Eastern Time Us & Canada and adjust for daylight savings time automatically. I do have the Windows Time Service running and it is set to start automatically. I have also tried using Windows Time Service in Automatic but with a delayed start.


    With all of the above set my machine's local time should sync automatically and it should not fail when syncing. However it does begin to fail and then requires a full reboot before I can properly sync time. As far as I can tell some time in the AM hours of my local time well after midnight as I have logged in quite late to find the time still synced properly the the local time on my machine changes to something many hours in the future. Once this happens I can't get it to sync again using the "sync now" button. I can even restart the Windows Time Service but that does nothing to fix my issue. Turning on and off set time zone automatically also does not help.


    I had been syncing my time with nist but after yet another MS update it is now back to syncing with time.windows.com


    How can I just get the time to having my time sync automatically and not fail to sync? It really should not be so difficult. Let me just add I also have time sync issues with another Windows 10 machine in my home but have two Macs and two Ubuntu machines 18 & 20 that both do not suffer from this ridiculous windows 10 issue.

    What is causing Prime 95 to keep failing all the time in the first 10 minutes?

    ...and what will be your next step if THAT fails to make Prime stable? More volts?

    I would think you would want to be using the LEAST amount of volts possible (for heat and longevity issues). That's why I suggested you use a more scientific approach to troubleshooting your instabilty. Meaning, IF your RAM passes 10 loops of MemTest with no errors at the speed you are trying to run, AND Prime continues to fail, THEN consider giving a bump to NB, FSB and Vcore (in that order).

    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
