Windows 10: Groove Music has a problem with its shuffle option

So I've been using Groove music for months now and when I ever use it I come across a problem.

When I open the app, click the song I want to play, it plays. Now I have my shuffle option turned on. When that song finishes, instead of playing a random song, it plays the song below that song.

So basically the player plays the song below the previous song it played. It doesn't shuffle at all. It also happens when I play a song on a different playlist.

I simply click a random song once again to fix this.

Is there a fix for it? And will a simple update fix this?

Also, I noticed that the songs gets picked near to each other, so when the player picks the next song, it's probably near the previous song, not the kind of shuffle I was expecting.

That's it, it kinda bothers me a bit every now and then.

Groove Music problem

Groove Music suddenly opened on my tablet (Windows10) while I had an ebook app open. I closed the window but the window kept reopening after a few seconds. I tried to uninstall Groove Music: System > Apps & Features, down to Groove Music – "Uninstall" was dimmed. Opened "Advanced Options": clicked "Terminate" – nothing happened; "Uninstall" – dimmed; "Reset" – the window didn't open for a while, but a few minutes later another opened to want to reinstall. Tried Revo Uninstall – Groove Music not listed. And I don't use my tablet for music.

 

Groove Music Unable to Play Music

We'll try a different approach, we suggest that you reinstall Groove Music and see if it has the same issue. Follow the steps below on how to remove and reinstall Groove Music:

• Open Start menu, search for "PowerShell"
• Right-click the PowerShell shortcut and select "Run as administrator". Agree to the UAC prompt.
• Type/Copy paste Get-AppxPackage *zunemusic* | Remove-AppxPackage.
• Once that Groove Music has been uninstalled, launch Windows 10 Store.
• Type/Search for Groove Music and install.
