Windows 10: Autolock Feature cannot be disabled

I just received my Surface Book 3 and in 2 days, my screen has started to autolock once I disconnect it from the keyboard.


I have done the following :

1. Reset my laptop,

2. Calibrated my Sleep Timeout Settings options to "Never"

3. Calibrated my Screen Saver Settings to "Never"


Nothing has worked. My screen keeps locking on its own after 3-5 seconds.


I also tried switching on the tablet while NOT connected to my keyboard and the auto lock option kicks in after a minute or so - it locks eventually. I didn't use to have this problem during the first 2 days of using it. Is there a way to solve this issue?

"Cannot disable autolock" (E70)

I'm having trouble disabling the autolock now that it's been turned on my, presumably the Exchange mail feature.

I configured the Exchange mail server, tried it out, and after finding out that I would be required to type in my username and SecurID code every few minutes decided I would turn off the Exchange mail and use Nokia Business Center instead.

The problem is that now I've disabled the sync profile (by deselecting all the sync content) and I try to disable the autolock it says "cannot disable autolock".

I really don't want to have to 'unlock' my phone with a code every time I want to make a phonecall.

Does anyone know how to turn this off?

 

5800 Unable to disable autolock.

I am using Mail for Exchange on my 5800 (firmware version is v51.0.006).



My company's security policy requires that I enable autolock with strong password (that includes a combination of letters and digits).

Currently, I can synchronize my phone with the Exchange server without applying those security restrictions on my phone.

However, if I accidentally apply them then:

• Autolock CANNOT be disabled. Even if I uninstall the Mail for Exchange from my phone, the phone prevents me from disabling the autolock (I can only change the autolock time upto 999 minutes). The only way I found to disable the autolock is by doing hard
  reset to the phone (which is very inconvenient).
• In case I enable the strong password security restriction, I am forced to change the password immediately. The change password screen on the phone only allows use of digits and therefore the new password is always rejected (due to the strong password security
  restriction). Furthermore, the phone is immediately locked and CANNOT be unlocked without changing the password (which cannot be changed due to the strong password security restriction). Again, the only way to resolve this is by doing hard reset to the phone
  (which is very inconvenient).

Has anyone else encountered those problems?

Is there any other way to resolve the problems mentioned above without doing hard reset?

5800 - Disable autolock?

My company's MFE security policy forced me to add an autolock feature to the phone. Now I have stopped syncing company email and even uninstalled MFE - however the phone still insists on autolocking! If I go to choose the "Phone autolock period" to "None"
- then I get an error saying - "Unable to unlock phone."

Is there any way to disable the autolock?



Right now I have resorted to using a higher autolock time (1hr).
