Windows box and menus Frozen or Fade out display driver issue

Hi Folks, maybe someone can help with the issue I been having now for over a year. On my system running Windows 10 Pro, i7-4790 3.6 CPU and 32 GB RAM, I am experiencing very strange graphics card issue - upon system reboot, taskbar badges and menus will permanently fade out, on windows boxes menu will not be visible in some cases and mouse click delays will be significant, to the point system is unusable. I will have to initiate a re-install of the display driver, or some type of activity around it, in order to get a normal working desktop behavior, but only until the next reboot. I had this issue initially with a build-in AMD graphics driver, and on multiple monitors, I tried. I had before HDMI and Graphics port dual screen. I change that to Nvidia GTX 1060 card with 3GB RAM and a new single HDMI monitor, but the issue still present. I practically have to run rundll32.exe display.dll,ShowAdapterSettings 1 on a startup to get graphics properties, trigger driver reinstalls every time, then the screen will blink and everything will be working as normal again. But when I try to save, I'll get warnings:

"The display control panel is unable to change the display settings. You may not have appropriate administrative rights to change these settings. "

Btw, I am the local admin and even try this cmd run as admin.

    And the second warning:

"The display settings being saved are invalid. Please try a different combination of display settings."

At which point I have to cancel the properties of the driver window. But my system will be normal after that.

My monitor set at 60Hz recommended resolution for its size. I don't have any custom graphics tune settings, I am not a gamer, just a PC worker. I already tried different driver versions from AMD and Nvidia, including native MS drivers. But the issue seems always returning.

Any helpful advice will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    :)

    Hi Bob,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?

    • What and all steps have you tried so far?
It could be due to incorrect settings or missing/corrupt drivers or missing updates.

Restart the computer a few times and check for Windows Updates.

In the Search box on the taskbar, enter Windows Update, select Windows Update. On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates.

  3. Windows 10 audio fades out

I'm having an issue with Windows 10 audio: when listening to something/watching a movie the audio automatically fades out and drops to a lower volume. To be clear, the volume indication in Windows doesn't change, i.e. if it was set to 50 at the beginning it'll remain fixed at 50, but it can be heard drastically decreasing.

If the source is paused and then played back again, the sound will begin playing at the higher volume to fade out again a few seconds later.

Things I've tried so far - suggested by the many post I read about:

    • Uninstalling/reinstalling both NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device WDM and Realtek drivers
    • Using only one driver at a time
    • Installing older driver versions
    • Installing the driver in compatibility (W8) mode
    • Reinstalling the drivers from the PC manufacturer (Dell)

None of these worked. Needless to say, it's very frustrating. I must keep the speakers turned off, otherwise notifications will blast out at 100dB unexpectedly whilst listening to music for more than 5 secs will turn the sound into a whisper.

If someone knows of a solution or had this issue before, I'd be so glad to hear about it.

    Thanks

N97 menu key fading in and fading out every 10s

Everytime I stop using my N97 and it fades out, the meny key start blink every 10s.

But it is not a blink, it is a fade in and fade out.

And every 10s the menu key do this.
