    keyboard switching keys randomly?

so i have recently run into a quite annoying keyboard mess-up, my keys have been switched around while i was playing a game on steam. for context here are the keys that are messed up. t is now g, y is now h, [ is now ', ] shows the volume, left shift does not capitalize, backspace shows "searching for wireless display and audio devices." not much else, i am using on-screen keyboard to type now. i have tried and wiped my computer, i have re-installed drivers, i have used different usb ports, i have tried re-key mapping, to no effect. i plan on using my friend's keyboard to see if it's a hardware issue but honestly it doesn't seem to be.

    any suggestions?
windows version 1903 (OS Build 18362.900)

    :)

    Keyboard choices, advice please

Inb4 bumblebee and her massive rants on mechanical keyboards, YES IM GOING MECHANICAL.

The current choice is the Razer Black widow ultimate.

It has a list of things i really want.

    • Black keyboard
    • Blue LED
    • Mechanical switches
    • USB port
    • USB soundcard built in (for LAN use - not a neccesity)
    • Easy to use Macro keys
    • Standard key layout - i HATE keyboards where its altered, or the keys are a different size to normal.
    • Compact size - keyboards that are three feet wide due to 5 rows of G keys and 12 feet tall due to an LCD are out. this thing has to fit on cramped desks at LAN events.
    • Media Keys are a must
    Things i dont like
    • Price
    • Noisy keys - hell they advertise its as loud as a mouse click, that worries me. a lot.
    • Media keys are controlled through a Fn key. its ok, but i prefer dedicated keys.

So, does anyone have any alternatives that i can buy in australia, that meet my requirements?

edit: G19 is ruled out due to it requiring external power. so please dont suggest it. (yes, i know its not mechanical - but its a similar price range)

Make the keyboard to open automatically when switching on tablet mode, and enabling Swift-key keyboard

    Hi John,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to make the keyboard open automatically whenever the tablet mode on PC is turned on.

However, currently the feature is not available to open the keyboard automatically in tablet mode. I suggest you to provide your valuable feedback using the

    feedback hub
app on Windows 10, as this feature can be very useful for others also.

Also, the difference between touch keyboard and on-screen keyboard is that, on-screen keyboard will be available in both desktop mode and tablet mode. However, touch keyboard will only be available when the PC is switched to tablet
    mode.

To turn on the swift key keyboard, you can follow the steps mentioned below.

    1. Go to Settings >
      Devices > Typing.
    2. Scroll down and click on
      Suggestions and auto-corrections
      .
    3. Now toggle the switch to
      On
for the respective language you want to use the Swift-key keyboard.
Once the button is toggled for the language, you will be able to use the Swift-key keyboard by clicking on the touch keyboard button on the bottom right corner of the taskbar.

For additional information you can refer the article

    Windows 10 Tip: SwiftKey
    .

    Hope it helps.
