Windows 10: Any Modern Looking Free Archivers for Windows 10? (without ads)

I was always using Bandizip, because it was doing it's job well, didn't have ads and had a modern, nice design, but recently they put ads in their latest version and I don't want to use it anymore. I tried to look for alternatives, but sadly I have a hard time to find any good looking free archivers. 7Zip users some ancient, XP era interface which is ugly as hell and don't wanna use it. The only good looking what I found was ZIP archiver 4 from hammersoft, but then I found articles where people say, it had in built trojan virus or something and I don't wanna use it. The only archiver that looks not so bad that I found so far is PeaZip, but it's still not very good looking. Lacks dark mode and doesn't change icons of archivers. Any other options?

Modern setup host

Regarding your concern with the deleted Modern Setup Host file, we’d like to ask the following questions so we can isolate it at the same time:

• What particular action that you’re trying to perform at the time that it was accidentally deleted.?
• May we know where and how it was deleted on your computer?
  
• Were you able to check if the deleted file can be found in the
  Recycle bin?

As an initial step, we suggest that perform a DISM command. This will help repairing possible system file corruptions. Follow these steps:

• Type command in the search box.
• Right-click on the result and select Run as administrator.
• Type this command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
• Press Enter.
• Close the Command Prompt windows and check if changes were made related to the Modern Setup Host file.

We'll wait for your update after trying the steps.

 

Archived mails are missing in Windows 10 Mail App.

Hi John,

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

Follow the Steps below and check.

Step 1: Check the sync settings in Mail app.

• Open Mail app and Hoover mouse point on top.
• Next to Search icon you can seen Sync this View.
• Click on the icon and let it Sync.
• Close and reopen Mail app and check Archived mails.

If issue persist follow next Step.

Step 2: Run the Windows App Troubleshooter.

I suggest you to download and run the app troubleshooter from the below link and check if it helps.

Problem to play Modern Combat 5 in windows 10 PC

Hi,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Please confirm the following things for me.

1. Is the office Windows 10 PC connected to Domain?
   
2. Are you receiving any error codes when you launch the game?
   

If you are using any third party ‘Antivirus’ or ‘Firewall’, I would suggest you to add an exception in them or disable them temporarily to check if the game works.

After the third party ‘Antivirus or ‘Firewall’ is disabled, you can also check by adding an exception for Modern Combat 5 in ‘Windows Firewall’ by following the steps below:

1. Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of your screen and then enter ‘Firewall’.
2. Click on ‘Windows Firewall’ in the search results.
3. In the ‘Firewall’ window, click ‘Allow an App or feature through Windows Firewall’.
4. In the ‘Allowed apps’ window, click on ‘Change settings’ button and then select the check box for apps on your computer that you want to allow to communicate over the Internet without being stopped by Firewall.
   
5. Click the Private and Public check box.
6. Click OK and then click the Close button to close the Windows Firewall window.
