You did not answer the question. How do you save what you have written on an email as a draft? Which button? There is not a visible SAVE AS A DRAFT on the new email window. How do you find it without accidentally discarding it?

I, too, thought I lost my drafts. When I close the email I'm working on the normal inquiry of "do you want to save this" comes up, but after I click "yes" the draft was not in the draft folder. I just found them buried at the bottom with NO DATE attached.
As a result all the sorting options based on date created leave the emails at the bottom off screen. Scroll to the bottom and see if your lost email drafts are there.

Now the question is how to get the most recent drafts saved at the top of the queue.
