    OneDrive indexing

I've found that searches have become very slow and, on looking at what folders are indexed, have found that my OneDrive\Documents folder is not indexed, although all of my other OneDrive folders pictures, video etc are. Not only is that folder not indexed, but it is not available for indexing either the others are available. These are my indexed locations:

    OneDrive indexing 487c2991-02c1-4f60-b4c2-219282c5c6c6?upload=true.jpg

Compare this to my OneDrive folder in File Explorer:

The only folder missing from indexed locations is the documents folder - the one that actually needs to be indexed!

To pre-empt suggestions about online/offline files, the "Files on demand" setting in OneDrive is unchecked.

How can I index that folder?

    :)

OneDrive no longer in list of folders to index in "Indexing Options"

Ref: Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.48)

    Dear All,

After an Windows update today, OneDrive folder is no longer listed as a folder available for indexing in the "Indexing Options" control panel.

I have tried restarting, deleting the index, unlinking PC from OneDrive and relinking.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

By the way, why is the OneDrive Category locked when posting questions?!

  3. OneDrive is missing from my list of folders that can be indexed

    I don't think that's the issue.

The OneDrive folder on my computer seems properly synced with OneDrive online. The problem is that when I look at what folders are being indexed to optimize searches, OneDrive is missing.

When I try to add OneDrive to my list of indexed folders, it's nowhere to be found on the list of folders to index.

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
