IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL when playing some games seemingly at random.

I've noticed this mainly when playing Vampyr and it is driving me insane, the issue is it's increibly inconsistent and I cannot replicate the error easily making it almost impossible to know if the problem is solved properly or if something I've recently installed has done anything; in my quest to solve this problem I replaced the RAM, and reset windows, and I just got it again very frustratingly.

According to bluescreenview the address causing it is just the kernel:
    ntoskrnl.exe+3dda20

I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on anymore so if anyone had any tips or advice for how to root out this damn thing it'd be increibly appreciated because I am losing my mind at this point.

    :)

  2. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD Whilst Playing Some Games

It has come to my attention as of late that some games, such as GTA V or 7 Days to Die have been triggering the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD upon starting the game, or after a few minutes of being in-game. I used WhoCrashed and found that it had to do with
e2xw1.sys, which is my ethernet driver. I have tried updating almost every driver in my system, including my graphics, to no avail. I haven't checked yet to see if it only happens on online games or not, which I will try soon. I am running Windows 10, for
    closure.

    Here, WhoCrashed reads:

    Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xFFFF804000000000, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF800784AEE62)

    Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

"Bug check description: This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above. This is a software bug.

This bug check belongs to the crash dump test that you have performed with WhoCrashed or other software. It means that a crash dump file was properly written out.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: e2xw1.sys ."

I'm sure it must be some sort of outdated software, particularly involved with my ethernet driver. The issue with that, however, is I have tried to update most of my drivers, leaving me uncertain of whether I properly did so or not.

I'd like some help regarding this, as it has become somewhat stressful and troublesome. In other words, how will I fix this? Thanks.

  4. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL when playing some games seemingly at random.

    Issue when playing games

    Hello,

This issue when you're playing games can be due to incompatible driver since it can be resolved by updating the display driver. However, we would like to know more about your concern. Kindly provide us the needed information below:

    • Which device are you using in playing games?
    • Is this issue happening when you're playing online or offline games?
    • Is there a connected USB device?
    • Are you getting any error messages?

As an initial recommendation, we suggest that you try reinstalling the driver instead of updating it. Here's how:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device.
    • Select Uninstall.
    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Looking forward to your response for any updates.
