    PC doesn't show long in


    Hi

    I was uninstalling which was taking a while so I left my pc and when I came back it was on a blue screen asking to choose keyboard layout

    i clicked us which brought me to another screen that said choose optian troubleshoot or turn off your pc that's it. I push troubleshoot which automatically sent me to advanced options:

    Startup repair

    Command prompt

    Uninstall updates

    UEFI firmware settings

    System restore

    System image recovery

    I click startup repair which goes to my pc logo with a message diagnosing your pc which only takes about 10sec after that it takes me to startup repair couldn't repair your pc with 2 options shut down or advanced options. I don't know if its important but the log file is blank. I go to advanced options and click command prompt.

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    Extremely long and incomplete boot

    This may be a long shot. My PC hung at boot yesterday after typing the password - see Can't Login - Further Troubleshooting Steps?

    I ran chkdsk c: /spotfix and all is now fine. Someone has also suggested running chkdsk c: /r.

    PC doesn't show long in

    USB doesn't display MP4 file!

    I have a 300kb mix of .png, .jpg, .pdf files on a 4Gb USB drive. I added a 2Gb MP4 movie but it doesn't display in the drive files. I used CCleaner to check the drive F files .. it only shows up as 2Gb of OTHER FILES, but not in the listed files.

    Any (constructive) suggestions welcome. I can't remove it as it doesn't show in the file list.
