  1. Why does Microsoft weather consistently give much greater high temperatures for the day...

The highs are often 15-20 degrees more than the actual temps I've been recording daily for years. I was wondering where these temps come from and learned that the company providing the data is in Sweden.

Also this month the Precipitation section has stopped consistently reporting "In the past 30 years, it rained X out of 30 times on this day. It's only been there 3 out of the 9 days of July 2020.

    :)

  2. Bing Weather app for WP8 shows incorrect temperature

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this or not, but here goes. First of all I love this weather app aside from this problem. It is the best looking one out there and it's really fast. Here is the problem. For any location that I put in the the high,
and low temperatures seem to be much farther off than they should be. I have compared to other web sites and weather apps and it is frequently (but not always) 4-8 degrees low. Here is the really crazy part. It is not even consistent with Bing Weather on
the web!!! So they have the correct data it just isn't getting passed to the phone app.

As an example here are the next 5 days high/low temps in my city.

Bing Weather Windows Phone app (high/low)
Bing Weather on the web (high/low)

    Friday
    49/23
    53/31

    Saturday
    41/21
    49/18

    Sunday
    42/31
    44/33

    Monday
    53/37
    59/36

    Tuesday
    53/31
    62/36

    Thanks

Bing Weather app for WP8 shows incorrect temperature

The provider being used is indicated in the bottom left hand corner of the screen (under the high/low temperatures). In my case, this is "WDT".

You can see the list of providers by going into the settings and swiping to the "Credits" page.

I don't believe that it's possible to set the provider in the Bing Weather app, but there are countless other weather apps in the Windows Phone Store that use a wide range of providers and layouts.
