Windows 10: Windows 10 V.1909 is Stuck In My Q and Won't Install or Delete

My Windows 10 version is still stuck on 1809. In the list of versions downloaded is 1909 but the message says "needs a reboot to install." We've been through dozens of reboots. So I have followed the forum instructions to remove the corrupted download etc. and can't find it or get at it. Computer says it is not there in any of the folders I was sent to by you guys. It is on the list, but won't load and can't be found to delete. Have tried skipping over and forcing a manual download and install of 2004 but it refuses and freezes. Help! PS - when that version downloaded or arrived in some corrupt form - the speed of the computer was cut way down to almost unusable. It was stable and quick and now - despite using all the tools to clean and optimize - it is the dredges! PS when I use the "trouble shooter" it freezes and when I use the MS online update help - it works for about ten minutes then tells me it is unable to help me. MP

Hyper-V Fails to Install on Windows 10 v.1909

Like the title says, Hyper-V fails to install on Windows 10 v.1909. [OS build 18363.592] It's a mystery to me, because I successfully installed and used Hyper-V on earlier versions of Windows.

Yes, I've got the necessary hardware and BIOS support (I successfully installed and used Hyper-V on earlier versions of Windows) and there are no other hypervisors currently installed. I disabled my anti-malware software (the same brand that I was using when I previously installed Hyper-V) and added the feature from an Administrators user account.

This may be a clue: Event Viewer only has one entry made at the time I tried to install Hyper-V, but it makes no sense (to me.) It's a 7043 Service Control Manager event that says the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Manager did not close following a pre-shutdown command, but I don't even have Hyper-V Virtual Machine Manager listed as a service.

If it matters (doubt it) the install failed at 98% and, of course, Windows rolled back any changes.

I'm open to any suggestions as to what I can try to get Hyper-V to install. Thanks for your help.

 

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

 

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
