  1. PC is slow after sleep wake up, but fine when i start to use programs

Hello, recently Ive been having sleep problems with my pc, a good amount of blue screens under 9f 3. after trying to solve my driver problems i guess i was able to reduce blue screens by a great amount. My only problem now is that when my pc goes to sleep or if i put it to sleep and wake it up, my mouse pointer is stuttering and sluggish, and it only fixes when i open a program anywhere from Firefox to obs. Another quirk is that if i leave a program going like discord then go to sleep and wake up, nothings wrong. Ive done everything from updating and rolling back network & graphic drivers, installing a updated bios, multiple clean windows 10 installs but nothing seems to fix the problem. if anyone has any ideas of whats going on and possible ways on how to fix it would be great. thanks

    :)

  2. Sleep / Wake Function, malfunctions after waking

    Hi,

Issues that arise after waking up the PC from sleep mode might have been caused by a software conflict or system file corruption. For us to clarify the issue, we would like to ask these questions:

    • What is the exact issue that you are experiencing?
    • Did you notice any recent system changes prior to this issue?
    • Have you encountered any error message?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

If you are having issues waking your PC from sleep, we suggest running the
    Power troubleshooter
as an initial troubleshooting. Kindly follow these steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • Type Troubleshoot, and then press Enter.
    • Under Find and fix other problems, click on Power.
    • Click on Run the troubleshooter button.
    • Follow the onscreen guide.

We will wait for your response.

    computer wake-up after sleep

    Hi Bill,

There's a possibility that the settings that enables your Space bar to wake your computer up from sleep was reset after updating Windows. If this what had happened, we suggest that you just re-set it up. See the steps below on how to do
    so:

    • Press Windows key and type keyboard in.
    • Click on Keyboard option and a pop-up windows should show up.
    • From there, go to > Hardware tab > Properties >
Change settings > Power management > Allow this device to wake the computer >
      OK/Apply.

Try the if the steps did work and let us know any updates.

  4. PC is slow after sleep wake up, but fine when i start to use programs

Program a file to start when computer wakes?

I have an old windows media center remote control that still works in windows 10. I like to use it to play music from bed. When I can't sleep and want to listen to music, I can wake the computer by remote control and when I do, I'd like a playlist to start VLC and start to play it on waking. Right now I can just remember to open it before bed and put the computer to sleep and it works if I wake up but just for kicks, I'd like to program it to run on waking. I looked at Task Scheduler and it doesn't seem that any of the choices in the trigger dropdown list fit the bill exactly. On an event seems the best choice but waking isn't in the log list and I don't know what Source to use or event ID. Any ideas?
