Windows 10: Insufficient space to update to Windows 10, version 1909

My HP x2 Detachable 10-p0XX only has a 32GB harddrive. I've moved everything over to a 128GB SD card. In spite of my best efforts, I am still 1GB short to be able to install the v1909 update. Any known methods/strategies to get the update on to smaller HDDs?

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

insufficient disk space to update windows 10

My laptop keeps trying to update Windows 10 and failing, giving me an error that says there is insufficient disk space, which surprises me because the computer is relatively new and I don't use it that much. I follow the instructions to clean up disk space, but this does not help - I always get the same error when it tries again to update windows 10.
