    Question about full restore

I bought a new computer my previous one was quite old so I'm a bit behind the technology but the computer didn't come with a full restore DVD or CD. How do I do a full restore on my computer if a hacker manages to get through my firewall software? Do I ask for a copy from the company that sold the computer to me. Or, is full restore done differently nowadays? Thanks for reading this.

    :)

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.

    Windows 10: Error Oxc000012f

    Hi Mariam,

The error code 0xc000012f means that the Windows operating system malfunctions in some way and requires either optimization or full restore. To isolate your concern about Windows 10, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Have you experienced an upgrade before?
    • Do you have the digital license key for Windows 10?
    • Were you able to perform the troubleshooting steps suggested above?

Let's sort this out. We'll be waiting for your response.

Thinking about Going back to Win8.1

If want to disable IE, still can. However, can't uninstall it like were able to in XP/98/whatever.
Here's how, although I find it useful in case Chrome or Firefox stops working and have to re-download it. *Wink
