Windows 10: Empty Start Menu After Getting Rid of Tiles

Windows 10 Start menu is empty

Hi. Steps 1 and 2 didn't do much but step 3 has restored what looks like the list of original Microsoft apps but no sign of any of the many apps I have installed. And there are no tiles in the start menu. Any suggestions please?

I found a solution. The folder tile was in start menu with two apps in it. I tried dragging but the folder wouldn't disappear. I finally found how to remove the folder after I took out the apps. I had to go into tablet mode and was able to get rid
of the empty folder. I can't remember now if I dragged the empty tile off the start menu or right clicked and deleted, but it disappeared this time while I was in "tablet mode".

• What exactly happens when you try to edit the tiles on the start menu?
• Aren't you able to organize the tiles?

If you have tried it on the Start Menu style, we would suggest you to check in the full screen style and check.



To do so,

• Right click on an empty space in the desktop screen and select Personalize.
• Click Start and then move the slider to the right to turn on full screen and then try to edit the tiles and check
