UEFI malware in all my devices- Could it originate from a compromised router?

    Hey,

So first of all, as you know, UEFI malwares are stubborn,

    and often are not removable.

I am quite sure that what I have, is a coin miner:

typical symptoms of 100 CPU, warm computer, RAM space is really small available RAM.

and also, over time, some foreigner is taking over logons and gains control over my system.

    I have 2 laptops,

    + one samsung mobile phone.

Both of my computers have the exact same signs, They both were infected at around the same time.

And maybe it is important to mention-

My internet provider has suffered of some serious attacks by hackers for 6 months

which is when I got the infection.

I did a checkup few days ago, and my router is really old. The producer does not update it anymore for patches.

Currently I want to buy new devices-

Do you know whether it is possible that the malware came from the router, or internet provider?

I want to know what I should do in order to prevent the same issue on new devices.

And if I should replace router immediately

    Thanks!

    :)

Manufacturers embed malware in their smartphones

There is an important distinction there. Adware != malware.

That list is complete bunk. I have or have had several of the Android devices listed and not one of them EVER had any level of malware. A few of them had a few pieces of bloatware, but that's not the same and all were completely harmless. And as each device was rooted, debloated and then properly secured, yeah, just not buying this rubbish.
