  1. proceed and is it going to work the RAID 1 After reinstall finishes??

My PC is problematic -- ca not update OS -- and i decided reinstall Windows 10 Pro on C:/ nvme

I have also 2x2TB HDD as one RAID 1 F:/ DISK for my data

I already did backup of C:/ and F:/

Since in this case the RAID 1 exist, in my PC, how should proceed and is it going to work the RAID 1 After reinstall finishes??

  2. Fresh Win 10 Pro install and RAID 1

Thanks guys. I set up RAID in the BIOS following MSI settings in their manual. Then I loaded windows following the prompts. But I must have missed a step. And hence my questions after my install. So, I did as you suggested Samuria, and set it up in Windows. I would have preferred a MoBo hardware setup. But as long as I have RAID 1 I will be happy. Thanks, B.

Raid 1 Questions - Help Is Needed Quick !!!

Like the other guy said, backup and RMA it.

Step 1. Backup or store all the info to another external drive or source.
Step 2. Put Drive 2 (after getting replacment drive for drive 1) along with Drive 1
Step 3. Thru Bios Configure the drives to be part of Raid Group and specify Raid 1. So it will warn you about data loss. After conforming to that message its going to format both drives and group them as Raid 1.
Step 4. Try to partition the drive if possible from with bios utility.
Step 5. Install windows on first partition (it may ask for drivers)
Step 6. If Windows XP SP 1 it will recognize the whole full 320GB. So finish installing the OS and update to SP2.
Step 7. Go into Computer management and add the extra partition to the OS or u can partition into how many ever and add it.
Step 8. May be you need to install Seagate optimize tool to see the full size of the drive.

    Good luck.

proceed and is it going to work the RAID 1 After reinstall finishes??

Is it possible to easily setup Raid-1 on this system ?

Get the six core CPU's I listed, at 3.3Ghz per core they will more than handle any calculations you throw at them for years to come, and with matching RAM in tri channel you will have a very strong setup.

My only other suggestion is a full RAID card like the one I listed with SSD's (in RAID 1)for the OS and programs, and then a RAID 5 array for backup and any large files on the board with a offsite final backup
